Meet Anthony Trammel

Well you cant actually meet him not yet anyway! Anthony Joseph Trammel, a character I'm writing for a script. He's a good looking guy, 24, 5'11", 185lbs.
He's even got his own bio. take a look tell me what cha think.

In the early hours of the morning of February, 1986, a future great Anthony Trammel arrived at a St Christopher's hospital in Philadelphia. Trammel, son of famous painter Lillian Trammel who was a huge star in art circles in the eighties and nineties, spent his early years in North Philadelphia before moving and growing up in the Germantown / East Falls section of Philadelphia where he spent his early life watching his mother paint.
As a youth Trammels promise as a painter could be seen but his ability to let his passion cloud his judgement would show as well. The painting One Logan that would later win him a grant was made through less than legal ways, he recalls having seen a photograph made by his sister and the image catching his imagination, so he snuck in and painted the piece in one night capturing his dream.
Trammel would be a product of the Philadelphia public school system winding up at the Philadelphia School for the Creative And Performing Art where he would graduate in the top ten percent of his class before continuing to Temple University’s Tyler School of Art. Where his rise to the top would continue pass his graduation, Trammel now a Master of Fine Art is also winner of the Antonio Kristof Grant for artistry. An award for artist who display a great potential for mastery of their craft.
Besides being just a painter Trammel is a techie, snowboarder, reader, science fiction aficionado and futurist. He follows the works of other futurist like Ray Kurzweil, Danila Medvedev, and Michio Kaku. Trammel likes to be involved in many different facets of life he feel it affects his work, he is a contradiction in terms, a flirt and family oriented man who speaks highly of his mother and sister a assistant photographer for Annie Leibowitz.

Mad Max

Midterms have ended, Let the bloging CONTINUE!!!! lol
hey ppl. Its been a while, and even though I haven't been writing about it, I still been shooting.
When we last left our hero.....lol. Can you tell im glad to be back.
So over the last few weeks I've been running around like a chicken with my head cut off shooting a few different things babies, parties, me, and all the stress of midterms thrown in for good measure. Now Im thru it all and still sane (for the most part) and i got some really good stuff to show for it.

Costume designer and friend, Liza James of kiMetics put together a great shoot for me, all I had to do was show up and shoot. Liza wanted a group of photos to represent one of her newest creations a costume from Mad Max of the character Aunty Entity. So two models, four lights, and 24hrs later...

We have Tanya and

Christina.

These ladies rocked out, we were looking for a way to represent the character and shake it up with a bit of fun and I think both of them brought it out.

Here are a few more from the shoot..

You can check out Liza's Costumes and more of Christina's work.

Labor Day....Rise of the Photo Booth!

South Philadelphia and I have a long standing love hate relationship, South Philly gives me contacts in the film industry, South Philly steals my camera gear, South Philly gives me Charlie’s Rippers, South Philly tries to steal my car!! but when the opportunity comes along to put a new spin on an old classic, how can I stay away....

So here’s the skinny......One white seam, One light, One Photog......The results...

Absolutely crazy, so much happened that night from just your regular to your "did that just happen".

See what I mean!!
Im working on a full slide show to be posted later but school has me jammed up so, it may be a while, Im also debating if the uncensored version will ever see the light of day.

Big Shout out to my friends arizona and dalice for letting me come down and basically making this happen.

The first day of [b] school.

So I was going thru my old photos and I came across this one

and it reminded me of the series that a few photographers and I got to shoot with Becker a while back, before I knew who Becker was. I am such a noob its not even funny.

Here’s how this sadness goes down.

So I was trying to find an opportunity to hang out with a friend of mine Greg Haygood (check out his stuff here its really good), just hang out and shoot the day like we had done once before which yielded some awesome photos of Greg's friend Alynson but thats another post, maybe? we had been trying and trying, finally I had the time to go up to Greg's studio in NJ. When I got there we hung for a bit and he shows me the new place and what the new set-ups gonna look like, then really off the cuff asks me if I wanna go to New York because this guy Becker is having a photo meet up it will be a bunch of photographers just hanging and taking pics. Im like what the hell, new york, photos, me, lets do it....so not concerned about this Becker guy....well we get there, hang, shoot, talk, Becker’s gotten us models to shoot it was a really great night. I learned quite a bit, now that i think about it. B shared his philosophy on shooting with us, which was basically shoot the shit out of it (his words) because we have the tech and the space so why not, we want to catch the moments. All in all an awesome time is had by all, but I never dawns on me that Becker's kind of a big deal.

It wasn't till a few weeks later when I’m doing an edit and some shop work on the pic (yea i know a few weeks later for an edit, so so bad) that I go and look for his blog and then my face drops, I had spent the night with one of the top wedding photographer in the world and the moment was completely over my head. totally lost on me. I bequeath unto myself a boot to the head.

I’ve kinda put this particular moment out of my head until now because I felt embarrassed about my attitude towards the whole thing but in the end I remember some of the stuff we talked about that night and I will bring some of that [b]ness into my work. So it’s a year late but thank you b, your really are un[b]elievable!

This post made me go back and do a re-edit of those pic and here are a few, im gonna try and do a slideshow with what i got, if it turns out good ill post it.

Greg & B

Then after everybody left Greg and I stayed behind and shot this...
